  2. Basic training at Camp Van Dorn, Mississippi
  3. Sailed from Boston Harbor, Jun 6, 1944 for Europe
  4. Assigned to AT Company, 60th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division
  5. Wounded on September 27, 1944, Monchow, Germany and sent to a hospital in England for treatment,
  6. Rejoined his unit in January 1945 and after another brief hospital stay, his unit moved on to Bitterfeld, Germany, south of Berlin until the end of the war in May 1945.
  7. Campaigns include Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.
